At HotAirBalloonDubaiRide.com, we pride ourselves on a seamless guest journey — from the moment you book to the moment you land. This policy covers every step of that process, including what to expect when the desert sky doesn’t cooperate.

  • Self-Arrival Option: Guests who prefer to make their own way to the launch site may arrive at the Dubai Outlet Mall meeting point at the agreed time

Your booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from our team. All bookings must be completed by 3:00 PM on the day prior to the scheduled flight.

Payment

  • Credit and debit card (Visa and Mastercard) — all transactions in AED
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash at our office or hotel travel desk
  • Secure online payment link

Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Guests under 18 may not independently transact on our website.

Booking Confirmation

A written confirmation will be sent once payment is received, detailing your pick-up time, pick-up location or self-arrival details, inclusions, and booking reference. Pick-up times vary by season — typically between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM — in line with sunrise. Please review your confirmation carefully and prepare accordingly.

Seasonal Guidance

Hot air balloon flights in Dubai operate year-round, with peak season running from November to March when conditions are most consistently suitable. Shoulder season availability in April, May, and September offers more flexibility but with greater weather variability. We recommend guests book during peak season for the most reliable experience.

Required Documentation

All passengers must provide a valid passport number (tourists) or Emirates ID number (UAE residents) no later than 24 hours before the scheduled flight.

Physical Eligibility

The following guests are not permitted to participate:

  • Pregnant women
  • Guests with heart conditions, severe back or neck injuries, or recent surgery
  • Children below the minimum age or height specified for the booked package
  • Guests with phobias of heights

Relevant medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of booking. Guests who arrive ineligible due to non-disclosure will not be entitled to a refund.

Amendments

Amendment requests should be submitted as early as possible. Rescheduling following a weather cancellation by us is complimentary.

Cancellations & Refunds

All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Refunds are processed within 7–14 working days via the original payment method.

Weather Cancellations

All flights are weather-dependent and operate under GCAA aviation regulations. If the pilot determines that conditions — including wind speed, visibility, or temperature — are unsafe, the flight will be cancelled or postponed. Guests will be notified as early as possible — typically the evening before or early on the morning of the flight — and offered a full refund or rescheduled flight at no additional charge. The pilot’s safety decision is final.

No-Shows

Guests not at the confirmed pick-up location or self-arrival meeting point at the agreed time without prior notice will be treated as a no-show. No refund will be issued.

Preparation

  • Wear comfortable, modest clothing. Desert mornings can be significantly cooler than expected — warm layers are strongly recommended
  • Avoid heavy luggage or large bags — they add payload and cannot be accommodated
  • All guests must sign a waiver or indemnity form at the launch site
  • All guests must attend the pre-flight safety briefing

Conduct

Guests must follow all instructions from the pilot and crew throughout the experience. Non-compliance may result in removal from the activity without refund.

Liability

Hotairballoondubairide.com, as part of Travel Saga Tourism, operates in compliance with GCAA regulations and takes all reasonable steps to ensure guest safety. We do not accept liability for non-disclosure of medical conditions, failure to follow safety instructions, or weather-related cancellations.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
